Asslammualaikum and good day all. It has been a while since my last entry.

Check out this video of mine where I shared 2 of the basic strokes that can be found in lettering. Hand lettering is the art of drawing letters whereas calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. Hand lettering is about short phrases whilst calligraphy is about long piece of writing. Despite their differences, lettering uses calligraphy techniques to construct words i.e. basic strokes.
So, watch this video and learn the basic strokes that make alphabets.

Apa itu Kaligraphi Moden atau Hand-lettring dan Kenapa mesti berguru?

Hai semua!
Anda sudah cuba belajar hand-lettering atau brush-lettering menerusi youtube tetapi anda masih kecewa dengan hasilnya?

Ada yang memanggil handlettering, ada pula brush lettering atau modern calligraphy. Pening?


Sebenarnya, modern calligraphy atau hand-lettering itu masih menggunakan prinsip-prinsip tulisan kaligrafi, yang membezakan cuma ditambah dengan style baru dan diberikan panggilan baru. Style baru iaitu perbezaan saiz kecil besar, lebar atau tinggi hingga ke jenis-jenis tulisan yang kontra antara satu sama lain. Panggilan baru seperti handlettering dan brush lettering hanyalah untuk menjadikan namanya kontemporari sesuai zaman dan generasi kini.

Mengapa harus berguru?

Memang terdapat beratus-ratus video di media sosial yang mengajar tentang cara-cara kaligrafi moden dan hand-lettering, tetapi ramai yang belajar menerusinya masih kecewa. Ini mengikut pengalaman saya sendiri dimana ramai pelajar saya yang tidak puas hati mengapa mereka masih tidak dapat menulis dengan baik walaupun mereka mengikuti banyak video.

Jawapannya mudah, apabila kita belajar yang asas, kita haruslah memulakan dengan sesuatu style penulisan. Jangan mengikuti terlalu banyak style pada satu-satu masa kerana otak kita baru ingin memahami dan pada masa yang sama menjadi keliru dek pelbagai cara yang kita jumpa.



Caranya juga, cari cikgu dan belajar darinya. Ini kerana, jika ada kesilapan, boleh diperbetulkan segera. Juga, anda dapat ketahui lenggokan tulisan dengan lebih teliti dan jelas.
Setelah mengetahui asas, dengan praktis yang berterusan, anda akan memiliki style anda sendiri.


Ingat, sesiapa pun boleh buat hand-lettering asalkan dia ada kesungguhan, minat yang mendalam dan menjalankan praktis yang berterusan.

It is a motivational guide for those who cherished an Islamic mannered journey of finding love. In my ebook, you will find loads of hand-drawn floral lines and hand letterings.
