MyTravel Application- My experience and what I have learned.

Just want to share with you guys on the latest procedure of non-Malaysian (spouse) to enter Malaysia.
First things first, if your Long Term Visa Spouse Pass (LTVSP) has expired, you need to apply for MyTravel Pass to enter Malaysia. If it is still valid, then there's no need to apply.

Our First application of MTP (MyTravelPass) got rejected as I did not attach my husband’s vaxx cert (it didn’t state anywhere about vaxx cert but it’s implied apparently) Had to wait for 12 working days.

Alhamdulillah second application got approved in just 7 working days.

Then I applied for home quarantine 10 days before the departure date and I attached MTP, vaxx cert, floor plan, picture of our house and passport profile page & visa page.

Home quarantine was approved after 2 days but I didn’t realised until I checked my email using my laptop. I have paid for the full amount (eh tak banyak lah only RM5200, pengsan right?) before I got to realised that it has been approved and now I need to apply for a refund.

So what I’ve learned from this experience is that :
1. Yes all Non-Malaysians are required to apply for MTP even if you hold a Long Term Spouse Visa Pass LTSVP (once approved the validity is 90 days);
2. Only after MTP is approved, you can apply for HSO (home surveillance order), it’s not given automatically so need to wait for approval first);
3. Please ensure that the traveling details are the same as in approved home quarantine letter and quarantine payment. Any contradictions, need to reapply);
4. You will never know how long the MTP and HSO will take. For MTP anywhere between 14 working days to a month. For HSO anywhere within 7 working days.
5. When applying for home quarantine, make sure you already have your flight tickets; i.e departure and arrival details. Also upload additional supporting info like floor plan and picture of frontal view of house;
6. If MTP and HSO applications got rejected, keep on applying, never give up. Even if it takes 10-15 times.

To those who will be applying for MTP and HSO all the best!
